Recent New Work

Following are some of the new paintings both Southwest and Ocean.  My most favorite subject to paint is the landscape of the Southwest - I could spend the rest of my life painting only this subject and if at all possible it would be done plein air!!

Most of these paintings are 12 x 16 unless otherwise noted and all of them are done on heavy linen paper - using large brushes in a loose painterly style and on occasion a palette knife using a "thick paint" style.

I'll start with my favorite subject first!!!

Night Fall On The Prairie

Solitude No. I - A Vision

Mesas At The End Of The Prairie

5 O'clock  Shadow

Sedona Summer - 18 x 24

OCEAN SCENES

Westerly Winds - 11 x 14

Tidal Surge

Intertwined

Trade Winds
Palette knife - thick paint - in a semi abstract style

Easterly Gusts

Hope you enjoyed your journey to the Southwest and to the West coast of Florida
