12 x 18 - Big Brush and lots of spontaneity and a love for the SW

I most always paint to music and when painting Southwest scenes my favorite music is that of MeadowLark and Jesse Kalu
My wife and I met both of these artists on separate occasions at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix AZ.

My favorite Meadowlark CD is Legend Of The Land which is described as "visually evocative original compositions that capture the vibrant spirit of the land" I have to say that when painting to this music I can actually feel the land with my brush - it is an amazing experience. Meadowlark is Rick Cyge who is a very talented composer and plays many string instruments and keyboards - his wife Lynn Trombetta is a very talented flutist. Quite a combination!!! 

My favorite CD by Jesse Kalu - Native American is One In Spirit.
Jesse plays Native American bamboo flutes.

My main objective here was to depict movement and a sequence of bold - bright - sassy color along with texture.
